Following last week's brilliant A Level results Knowsley Community College students have registered further excellent outcomes on a wide range of other equivalent courses.
Vocational courses, including National Diplomas, Certificates and Awards, had a 100% Pass rate, with a total of 117 Distinction Grades, and 137 Merit Grades being awarded. 22 students gained three Distinctions, which is the equivalent of three A Grades at A Level, and, in just the same way as A Levels, will propel students on to their first choice of University courses in most cases.
In addition to the very successful A level and BTEC outcomes, there were many excellent results amongst the GCSE subjects taken at the College, with the English Language results scoring a pass rate 15% above the national average, and several other subjects similarly successful.
Frank Gill, the delighted College Principal, said, "It is absolutely brilliant that our vocational courses have been just as successful this year as our A Levels. It is a tribute to the hard work and commitment of our students who are gaining excellent results at a really crucial time when there are many challenges facing young people in terms of University places, and eventually employment. Across the board Knowsley Community College students are placing themselves in the best possible position, and we are all naturally really delighted for them."
