This asset helped meet the high expectations of a local media company with an innovative and customised response.
Cutting it
Liverpool Community College has been working with TV company Lime Pictures, producers of Hollyoaks, on a customised programme in hairdressing for their makeup artists.The training will enhance their skills to cover a wider range of productions, as makeup artists receive specialist training that does not include hairdressing techniques.
The two day introduction course assessed the skills and needs of staff and delivered training that included cutting skills, barbering and afro Caribbean techniques.
The bespoke, off-site training was welcomed by manager Helen Black who said: 'We found the course extremely informative and very useful. The skills we have learnt offer us greater scope for the range of productions we're involved in.'
